The Museum of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1956 in the basement of the old Wesleyan Conservatory. The museum is dedicated to its core value of education through exposure to real art, live animals, natural and scientific elements, as well as hands-on experiences to explore nature and the history of Macon, Ga. This is key to developing knowledge, gaining insight, and developing a better understanding of the World we live in, and helps promote lifelong learning. MAS has the capability to make us view our communities, State, and even world in a completely different light.
